Update on Shepherdstown Cement Mill

One of our more popular recent topics has been the post mentioning the opening of the registration period for the 2014 Cement Industry Conference, as well as some history of a local battlefield near the Essroc – Martinsburg plant.

An alert reader has pointed us towards the recent news that a conservation easement has been made on the Cement Mill property at the center of the Civil War Battle of Shepherdstown.   We are passing this along for the other lovers of history in the cement industry.
