Following the recent announcement that the cement industry is still in the crosshairs of the US EPA regulatory enforcement division, it comes as no surprise that recent announcements have been made by cement producers and the EPA of enforcement actions.  The latest news is from Hagerstown, MD where violations from 2003 were the subject of a settlement.  This comes less than a month after similar announcements regarding other US plants.

With the continued targeting of the cement industry by the EPA, plants should be especially wary as the new mercury, THC, and dust emission limits come into effect….
